1.15 Cheltenham - Anyharminasking 9/1 (1Pt EW)
Competitive opener but if you remember this meeting last year we had the 8/1 & 20/1 winners in the first race each day so hopefully the same again this time.
Anyharminasking’s clear best run last season was his first run of the season when finishing a close 2nd behind Nemean Lion who went up 16lb since.
That run was off a mark of 133 & he returns here off 134. Conditions suit so a good round of jumping can see him go close.
1.50 Cheltenham - Path d’Oroux 10/11 (3Pt Win)
Cromwell landed this last year and should do so again with Path d’Oroux. Unlucky not to get off the mark over fences last season but brings plenty of jumping experience here and should be too good for these.
2.25 Cheltenham - Calico 4/1 (1Pt Win)
Disappointed on his last 3 runs but he’s best when’s he’s fresh and has been given a nice chance by the handicapper.
Very close 2nd here on return last season and now returns on a 1lb lower mark. Ground in his favour so should give this a good go from the front.
3.00 Cheltenham - Gale Mahler 8/11 (3Pt Win)
We’ve been on her for her last 4 runs and she’s won all 4 times. Sets a high standard here again and should take all the beating.
3.35 Cheltenham - Mole court 9/1 (1Pt EW)
Last years winner and although running off a 10lb higher mark he still looks a good play.
Track, trip and ground is ideal for him along with the yard being in good form. Will need a career best to land this but is only a 7yo so that’s very possible and looks sure to finish in the places at least with a clear round.
4.10 Cheltenham - Potters Charm 7/4 (3Pt Win) NAP
Minella Sixo jumped out to his right on many occasions when winning at Fairyhouse 2 weeks ago and now going left handed he will struggle if doing so again.
Potters Charm easily landed a bumper on debut in March and backed that up winning nicely on hurdle debut last month. That form sets a nice standard here and any improvement will see him tough to beat.
4.45 Cheltenham - Impero 7/1 (1Pt EW)
Fiercely Proud looks nicely handicapped but is using this as a prep race for the Greatwood hurdle next month and might not be fully fit here.
Impero has shown good improvement finishing a close 2nd on stable debut before comfortably landing a maiden hurdle last time out. This is a big step up but he’s in good form and there should be plenty more to come from the 5yo.
