It's Friday. Good morning all. Bit of a disaster day yesterday I think it was just one of them days where anything that could of went wrong, went wrong (Benny The Duke falling at last hurdle, Sphagnum running out of track) but we move on anyway after we had a decent week. Trust the process and view the tracker link below if you need a little reminder on how we have dips here and there but the winning days do eat them up in comparison which is why we are profitable in the long run.

On the positive note my filly Queen Maedbh I am part owner of went out for her first time ever and had a really solid 2nd and showed her great potential so that was very pleasing. I'll keep you guys updated with any behind the scenes information as I get it, I'm sure she wins next time out with some experience under her belt now.

View tracker here - level stakes would have you up 15.4pts for the month still.

Todays Bets

20:24 Pontefract - Buniann     6/4     1pt win

All 5 career wins at Newcastle. 8/1, ran better than for a while when second of 11 in handicap there (5f) 3 weeks ago, nearest finish. Yard also runs Mr Orange.

14:35 Nottingham - Cloud Flyer    2/1    1pt win

Has yet to show any ability but at least gets a crack at nurseries now up in trip. Tongue strap on for 1st time.

Weighted To Go Well

19:24 Pontefract - Trais Fluors     6/1      0.5pt ew/1pt total

This horse has had two insanely good races where he won one at a mark of 92 carrying 140lbs and then came 3rd in the other this year at a mark of 87 carrying 139 lbs. Now dropped down to a mark of 83 today and only carrying only 131 lbs... That sounds very nice to me. Connor Beasley on board today, I was debating just having a win bet on this one instead of the each way but after the day we had yesterday I think I'll have a little protection just in case lol.

15:00 Haydock - Muscika    6/1    0.5pt ew/1pt total

Had a win off a mark of 85 in December last year in a really good time/speed as well. Then after that had a 3rd off a mark of 90. Today runs off a mark of 76 which for those good at maths here is a whole 14 marks below his 3rd place. Has a lot of potential inside of him and can hopefully unleash it today.

All the best,

STAKING GUIDE / POINT SYSTEM (READ IF NEW)

I'm now going to be including this small snippet at the bottom of every newsletter and what it basically explains is a simple point staking system. Some of you will know this already and can just ignore it but it's important for new punters to understand as it's essential to being a winner. We all love a massive gamble there's nothing better than just sticking £50/100 on a horse you've convinced yourself is a dead cert but it's a bookies dream in the bigger picture. With a fixed system you can be a bad gambler and still win and a good gambler with a system is a great gambler, but with no system you're really up against it.

Right, let's assume for your scenario you have a betting balance of £100. Could be less it could be more it doesn't matter.

I like the 5% of your balance is 1 point rule. It's actually probably on the more risky side but it allows for 20 losses in a row (very rarely ever happens, but possible). So 5% of £100 means 1 point is equal to a £5 stake. If your balance was £500 then 5% would be £25 and you get the picture.

So if I was to suggest a bet and it was a 1 point stake then put on £5. If it was a 0.5pt/point bet then you put on £2.50. Very simple right.

Each Way bets are the same, I'd usually write 0.5pt each way / 1pt total which would be £2.50 each way and £5 altogether.

Hopefully that clears it up because I've had a few people ask and a few people lose money when everyone else is winning money and they're a bit lost and I can relate as I've been there myself when I first started.
